2017 SE Regional Meeting - June 9-10 at Baker Arboretum, Bowling Green, KY

Hyatt Place Hotel - Bowling Green, KY

The Kentucky Derby, corvettes, roses, green hills and mint juleps – June in Kentucky is a wonderland! I would like to personally invite you to enjoy the charm and beauty of southern Kentucky at the ACS-SE Region meeting, June 9-10, 2017, in Bowling Green. The meeting is hosted by the Barker Arboretum, a 150-acre garden that specializes in conifers, among other collections. The Baker Arboretum is also the site of the Downing Museum of Art for your enjoyment. The staff of the arboretum are looking forward to seeing you.

Bowling Green is one hour north of Nashville and 90 minutes south of Louisville, a former stop on the old L&N (Louisville & Nashville) Railroad. It is the home of the Corvette manufacturing plant and the Corvette museum. There is a cave with the worlds shortest, deepest river in town, and it is a short drive to Mammoth Cave National Park. There is a railway museum, minor league baseball, and a distillery downtown. We are not far from the Bourbon Trail near Bardstown where you can tour and taste the signature drink of Kentucky. Of course, it also the Home of the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky

We will be staying the new Hyatt Place hotel near campus, centrally located to downtown and our meeting venue at the alumni center next door on campus. Please stay tuned for more information but reserve the dates on your calendars, now!
